Privacy Policy

Last Updated:

VoiceRoom ("we," "our," "us") is an Adobe Express add‑on that enables real‑time voice collaboration. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting information processed while you use VoiceRoom and our website at voiceroom.live.

1. Information We Collect

  • Real‑Time Audio Streams: Your voice is transmitted peer‑to‑peer via WebRTC to other participants for the duration of the session. We do not record or store audio or transcripts on our servers.
  • Room & Participant Metadata: To operate rooms and maintain stability, we process and may store limited metadata such as userId, username, roomId, documentId, and connection timestamps/ids. This includes entries in our database for user sessions, active room users, and connection logs.
  • Device & Usage Data (non‑identifying): We may process technical information like browser type, device type, connection quality indicators (e.g., latency/heartbeat), and add‑on version to improve performance and troubleshoot issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To establish and maintain real‑time voice connections between participants.
  • To manage rooms, detect disconnections/reconnections, and prevent duplicates.
  • To enhance reliability, diagnose problems, and protect against abuse.
  • We do not sell or rent your audio, room content, or metadata.

3. Data Retention

  • Audio: Processed in memory and transmitted in real time only; not retained or recorded by us.
  • Room & Connection Metadata: Limited entries (e.g., userId, username, roomId, documentId, socketId, connection type/timestamps) may be stored to operate the service and for stability/security logs. We aim to retain only what is necessary for short operational periods and troubleshooting, after which it is pruned or aggregated. You can request deletion (see “Your Rights”).

4. Third‑Party Services

  • Real‑time Transport: WebRTC infrastructure may use STUN/TURN or similar relay services to establish/maintain connections. These relays are used to transmit traffic and are not intended to retain content.
  • Database/Infrastructure: We use standard hosting and database providers to run the service. Providers act on our instructions and are expected to follow no‑retention or minimal‑retention practices for transient data.

5. Security

  • We use industry‑standard security practices and encrypted transport for session data.
  • Audio is transmitted using WebRTC security mechanisms; we do not store audio streams.
  • Access to operational metadata is restricted to authorized personnel.

6. Your Rights & Contact

You can contact us to ask questions, request access or deletion of your operational metadata (e.g., connection logs tied to your userId), or raise privacy concerns.
